your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds

By juliuswits / Growth

All too often we go through this life and do not pay enough attention toward learning. You need to remember that your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds. Every day is a new day to learn and enjoy your life. More often than not people turn to the wrong sources of mental stimulation. People like to have things instantly, so they won't take the time to learn anything new. Instead of doing any research on topics, they simply plug information in a search engine and the results just pop off. Worse than that, there are some people that choose not to learn anything new at all.

To become rich, you have to become different first. Do things differently, see things differently. From the majority.

"It takes vision to see what others can't see yet. And faith in your vision to convert it into a reality. And resources to make it happen. And courage to actually do it." "You need to leave the crowd and stand alone. You need courage to do that, to follow your muse, to believe in yourself. Success is guaranteed then." "But to succeed big, to make it into the big league, you also need some luck." "In 1866, a young bookkeeping apprentice set up an oil refinery in Cleveland, Ohio. At the

The Parable of the Lost Son(Luke 15:11-32)

By juliuswits / Growth

11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. 13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing.

By juliuswits / Growth

One of my central principles of my life is that no one knows enough to be a pessimist about anything. And that each and every one of us, when we close our minds to whats possible to us or whats possible for humanity, we close off the genius that resides and leaves in each and everyone of us.

The Triple-Filter Test

By juliuswits /

In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said, "Do you know what I just heard about your friend?" "Hold on a minute," Socrates replied. "Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be good idea to take a moment and filter what you’re going to say. That’s why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

By juliuswits / Growth

This is such a powerful thought. Just look back in your past and remember the challenging times which were so painful to deal with and may have caused tensions, heartburn and strained relationships at that point in time…. Maybe you spent a couple of days … weeks or months carrying burden in your hearts…affecting and straining your lifestyle and those of near and dear ones…..

Imagine a football match in which two teams are competing for a trophy, but there are no goal posts

By juliuswits / Growth

Imagine a football match in which two teams are competing for a trophy, but there are no goal posts. Which of the teams will take the trophy? Obviously none! This can be likened to having no goal in life. The absence of the goal posts means the players cannot know the direction in which to kick the ball; because normally the ball is kicked in the direction of the opponents’ goal post.

A Dish of Ice Cream

By juliuswits / Motivation

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10 year old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. “How much is an ice cream sundae?” “50 cents,” replied the waitress. The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied a number of coins in it.

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her.
